On Thursday 7 and Friday 8 November we will be celebrating the Synaxis of the Archangels feast day.

Every 8 November, we celebrate the Synaxis of the Archangels. ‘The word synaxis means the gathering of believers to celebrate a feast, or to make a remembrance of a saint.’ This feast celebrates the unity of angels and humans. You may have noticed the two towering icons on either side of the iconostasis as the congregation faces the altar. These are of the Archangels Michael and Gabriel.

We are starting with the Great Vespers at 18.00 on Thursday 7 November. This will be led by His Grace Bishop Raphael of Ilion. The Matins and Divine Liturgy will start at 09.00 on Friday 8 November.

We welcome His Grace Bishop Raphael of Ilion who will lead both of these services at our church. He will also run the Orthodox Catechism at 19.15 on Thursday 7 November.
