The Very Reverend Archimandrite Spyridon Papa Gabriel

Father Spyridon has served the Holy Cross and Archangel Michael church in Golders Green community since 1987. He followed his father’s footsteps who was a priest in Cyprus in Larnaca, Livadhia village.

Even though he has retired as a priest in our church, he is still fully committed and devoted to continue to serve and help as much as he is able. You will often see him at church during the Divine Liturgy, either assisting during the service or chanting. He has an exceptional voice and adds real depth to the chanting in the church.

He is well-respected by the local Greek Orthodox Community and was awarded the London Borough of Barnet civic community award by the Mayor of Barnet in February 2007 in recognition of his services to the church and his services to the borough.
