{"id":2420,"date":"2026-01-09T13:56:53","date_gmt":"2026-01-09T13:56:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/holycrossgreekchurch.org.uk\/?p=2420"},"modified":"2026-02-27T11:46:47","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T11:46:47","slug":"holy-cross-60th-anniversary-celebrations-in-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/holycrossgreekchurch.org.uk\/el\/church\/holy-cross-60th-anniversary-celebrations-in-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Holy Cross 60th anniversary celebrations in 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our Holy Cross and Archangel Michael church celebrated its 60th anniversary at events on Sunday 23 November 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was an honour to have both His Grace Bishop Iakovos of Claudiopolis and His Eminence Metropolitan Nectarios of Kition (Cyprus) join us for the service and celebrations that commemorated the church&#8217;s 60th anniversary. Bishop Iakovos was also representing His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many of you will know His Eminence Metropolitan Nectarios was a former priest at our church. He unveiled a plaque to commemorate the contribution of George Anayiotos and Maria Petrides who were instrumental in founding our church. The plaque was kindly sponsored with a donation from the Christodoulou family. We thank Andrulla and Mario Christodoulou for their generous contribution. Marios and Andrulla Christodoulou were a previous treasurer and a previous President of the St Helen&#8217;s Auxiliary Association respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are
